The unit worked fine but I really wanted to cook
The unit worked fine but I really wanted to cook items that would taste like charcoal broiled meals. Hence, I returned it for a refund since the cooked product did not taste to my expectations. I am continuing to research other HD grills that may meet my expectations. I've seen some that have wood chip type configurations that might appeal more to me since i can cook meats through flavored wood chips or charcoal. Sorry I did not match my real needs with the product before I bought it.
Great grill.
I went to a 3 burner to avoid paying for the side burner that I have never used. Natural gas doesn’t burn as hot as Propane but makes super good food. The construction is solid and the warranty is the best. A couple parts were damaged in shipping. A quick call to Weber and new parts were here in less than a week.
it doesn't get as hot as I would like
Great little grill but I find it doesn't get as hot as I would like when searing.
Works pretty well
Works pretty well. Consistent heat across the grates. However, does not seem to perform as well as other grills when it comes to searing. I just can’t seem to get great grill marks even on high with the lid closed for quite some time before throwing on the steaks.
Good BBQ except for one problem
However there is a design problem. There is a round hole cut in the floor of the unit where the tank would sit. The diameter of the hole is larger than the tank so the tank actually sits on the ground making it difficult to move the unit. The designer intended that the user hang the tank from a bracket inside the unit so the tank doesn’t rest on the ground. . But I don’t have the physical strength to stick my arms inside the unit, lift the full tank in order to hang the full tank on the bracket.
